We provide training for all areas of our business and in addition also provide some mandatory training for our 3rd party suppliers. We cover regulated sales training as part of our Life Insurance service through to soft skills training like sales and customer service.
E-learning was initially a cost saving exercise. We’re now working strategically with SMEs to ensure that ‘e’ is fit for purpose, and that we have tangible ROIs.

We are all part of one team and share regular meetings and team huddles. We also have a SharePoint site where we store processes and procedures as well as adding items to discussion threads or blogs.
How long are your typical courses and how long do they take to create, from when you start work to uploading into the LMS?
Typically we would like courses to last no more than 40 minutes with assessment and 30 minutes without. Creation of a typical course will take about 8-12 weeks depending on SME availability. Typically these lead times are extended to lack of time available from SMEs.
The load time for courses depends on how big the target audience is. We can test for up to 10 days and then load within the next five for mandatory/essential learning whereby our audience would be 23,000 users. For smaller groups, we can have a test and load time of five days.
